Byzantine is famous for amazing materials and gems. People of this empire wear things such as silk dresses and togas woven with multiple threads and patterns. Wouldn’t you just LOVE to wear those? They also have lots of luxurious jewelry with precious stones. Churches and upper class homes are decorated with curtains, altar cloths and slipcovers made with the finest threads, woven into intricate patterns.
